'Everything has sort of fallen into place': Vampire Diaries star Phoebe Tonkin reveals how she bounced back after split with Paul Wesley
She split with boyfriend Paul Wesley in 2017 after four years together.
And now, Phoebe Tonkin has opened up about how she overcame the breakup with her Vampire Diaries co-star.
Speaking to InStyle Australia magazine, the 30-year-old revealed that she decided to start working behind the camera and directed her first short film 'Furlough.'

'There's a lot of change, but it's good change,' she told the publication.
'I'd gone through a breakup last year and I wanted to branch out and explore other things and [Furlough] felt like the perfect opportunity to do that,' she added.
Phoebe said director Mark Webber and his actor wife Teresa Palmer have inspired her to work.

She admitted that since turning 30 last month, she is now more determined to focus on doing what she loves.
'Everything has sort of fallen into place...I just feel more confident [now] in myself and in my passions,' she said.
Phoebe revealed that she would love to continue to be 'creative, travel and eventually have kids and a family.'

'For now, though, it feels kind of momentous to be turning 30 and to be in a new city. [I’m] really just excited to begin a new chapter in my life,' she said.
The brunette bombshell began dating her co-star Paul Wesley, 35, in 2013.
Phoebe and Paul eventually split in 2017 after being on-and-off for four-and-a-half years.
