Yesterday we brought you an extensive photo gallery of the Middle East-exclusive 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST and Trail Boss regular cab models and one of your comments caught our attention.

“I’m surprised you didn’t mention how the GMC Sierra regular cab is also sold there. And the interesting thing is that the GMC is more popular than the Chevy in the Middle East,” Darnell Robeson wrote.

A few minutes of digging online later, we found that our reader was right: the all-new 2019 GMC Sierra also offers two regular cab models exclusively in the Middle East: the sporty-flavored Elevation and the rugged AT4 (pictured).

The models arrived in showrooms across the region last month joining the rest of the 2019 Sierra lineup which includes Crew Cab and Double Cab bodies in SLE, SLT, AT4, Elevation and Denali trim levels. Depending on the model, there are many powertrain configurations available.

Those include a 4.3-liter V6, 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8 (standard on the range-topping Denali, optional on AT4 Crew Cab and Double Cab models). All feature eight-speed automatic transmissions as standard, bar the range-topping V8 which is hooked to a 10-speed auto.

As with the Chevy Silverado 1500 RST and Trail Boss Regular Cabs, the Sierra 1500 Elevation and AT4 Regular Cab models only get a single powertrain option: the 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 with Active Fuel Management system mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Sierra AT4 Regular Cab features standard four-wheel drive and two-speed AutoTrac transfer case with low range, a locking rear differential, 2-inch suspension lift, off-road tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers, skid plates, and Hill Descent Control. Styling-wise, it features body color exterior elements, unique grille insert, vertical red recovery hooks, 18-inch six-spoke aluminum wheels, and more.

As for the Sierra Elevation Regular Cab, it sports a monochromatic exterior appearance with body-color and gloss black accents, a unique grille, full-LED lighting, and 18-inch six-spoke aluminum wheels. The Traction Select system comes standard, as do amenities such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome trim accents, 8-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, and more.

Both regular cab models feature the MultiPro Tailgate with six unique functions and positions.
