The publication reports that Matt works in the Melbourne office, and that a spokeswoman refused to confirm if the reality star worked there due to 'privacy,' but added: 'Quantium from time to time provide contractors to NAB.'

Matt reportedly doesn't have the NAB position on his LinkedIn.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted NAB and Ten for comment, in relation to this article.

It comes after Matt had to explain what an astrophysicist is, after some contestants on The Bachelor struggled to pronounce the term in previews for the show, while others claimed it was a 'fake job.'

Ahead of the premiere of the show, Matt appeared on 10 Daily and said that his profession is key for the survival of the human race.

'My specific research is about planetary science, so the stuff I'm doing is trying to figure out where another planet like Earth could exist, so we could actually look and find it,' Matt said.

The astrophysicist said although he discovers planets, it may take lifetimes before people can colonise them since they are 'really, really far away'.

'There's no technological way to actually get there yet. So you know, yeah, we could theoretically but it's not something that's within the realm of possibility yet,' he said.

Meanwhile a preview for the show went viral recently, when it showed contestant Abbie Chatfield confusing astrophysicist for astrology.

After he revealed he was an astrophysicist, the contestant quickly responded, 'I'm a Gemini!', leaving Matt looking puzzled.

Speaking to News.com.au last week, the 23-year-old said the scene was unfairly edited and that her remark - which was actually a joke - was taken out of context.
