Chatting to Christine Lampard on Lorraine, Louise addressed why it has taken her 18 years to get back into music and admitted it has been an adjustment because the kids are used to her being 'the one at home'.
The mother-of-two told how she 'went through so many different emotions, a lot of ups and downs' whilst creating her new album after splitting from husband Jamie, 46, after almost two decades of marriage.
Louise said: 'My son Charlie was like. "Are you really going to do this, mum?" Charlie is 15 now. They all knew I used to sing, but when they were born I was at home and dad was the one at work.

'It's so nice when I'm doing a show and they're in the front row. Charlie brings about four to five mates, he's at that age now where he goes everywhere with his crew. Beau, who is 10, is happy to just sit with me and the band.
She added: 'That has been the most amazing part, having the boys witness what I used to do.'
Louise told stand-in host Christine: 'It's good to be back, I never made a conscious decision to stop making music.
'I took a different path. I had a family and had an extended break.'
