Longtime NFL sportswriter Don Banks has died at 57 after attending Hall of Repute ceremonies in Canton, Ohio.
Banks, employed lately by the Las Vegas Evaluation-Journal, died early Sunday morning.
His wife, Alissa, confirmed to the newspaper that Banks died in his sleep.
"He became once re-energized and so invigorated by the chance to work (for the Evaluation-Journal)," she told the Evaluation-Journal. "He couldn't wait to acquire started. It became once the happiest I rating considered him in quite a whereas."
"He became once speculated to shut house in Boston on Sunday morning. ... He went very peacefully."
Banks' noteworthy profession took him to stops that included Sports activities Illustrated, the St. Petersburg Times and the Huge title Tribune.
"Phrases can now no longer categorical the depth of sadness the Evaluation-Journal workers feels for Don's family and visitors," Evaluation-Journal executive editor Glenn Cook said Sunday. "Previous a sportswriting institution, Don became once a true husband and father and a class act. No NFL journalist commanded extra appreciate. The sport has lost one amongst its most fascinating storytellers."
