Karl Stefanovic confirms he's trying for a baby with wife Jasmine

Ex-Today show host Karl Stefanovic has candidly revealed he has had numerous vasectomy reversals. 

Speaking on the Fifi, Fev and Byron breakfast show on Friday, father-of-three Karl said he has had the painful procedure done twice.

When radio host Brendan Fevola said, 'You've had the snip, I've had the snip, you've had it reversed twice, apparently,' Karl confirmed he had and that it 'hurt'.

'Yeah, that [the reversals] did happen. And it's not pleasant. It hurt,' said Karl, 44.

Karl has three children - Jackson, 19, River, 11, and Ava, 13 - with ex-wife and media personality Cassandra Thorburn, 48.

Karl also referenced the fact that his vasectomy reversals were front-page news recently.

'Yeah, that [the reversals] did happen. And it's not pleasant. It hurt,' said Karl, 44. He is pictured with son Jackson

'It hurt seeing it on the front page of the paper. I can't walk down the street without someone say, Carlos!' he added jokingly.

Karl married Jasmine Yarbrough, 34, in December last year. The couple as yet do not have children.

They are said to be trying for a baby, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph in April.

Vasectomy reversals are not always successful and can take months before fertility resumes for the patient. 

The four-hour procedure involves cutting or tying the vas deferens to stop sperm entering the urethra and thereby results in sterilisation. 

Ex footballer Brendan Fevola, 38, got a vasectomy live on air in February this year. 

Brendan's partner, Alex, 42, suggested the radio host get the procedure after the birth of the couple's fourth daughter Tobi in November last year.

Brendan is also father to daughters Mia, 19, Leni 12, and Lulu, 8.
