'I have to keep myself sober the rest of my life and that's a fight and it takes work. And we all have our cancers.'

She went on: 'I'm not trying to make her struggle sound small, I'm trying to say, I think it makes it easier to deal with when you go, 'Oh yeah, everyone has a cancer'.'

Chloe has famously struggled with body dysmorphia and anorexia, at one stage admitting she weighed just 37 kilos.

Speaking to 60 Minutes, the singer said that she put her own problems aside to help her mother.

'I wanted to be bright and happy and available and around for my mum when she was struggling with this and I thought I was okay but I wasn't, I was still struggling with severe depression and I faced it head on,' she revealed.

She added: 'There's no more running away from your pain. Deal with it, she needs you. I feel it's made me a much better person'.

Olivia, 70,  is currently battling cancer for the third time.

The veteran singer  spent her 70th birthday last September undergoing radiation treatment at the centre after her breast cancer returned and metastasised to her lower back in 2017.

The four-time Grammy winner was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, undergoing a partial mastectomy and reconstruction.

She battled cancer for a second time in 2013, but kept the illness private.
