She revealed in 2018 that she has retired from acting, four years after starring in her last project, the 2014 film Annie.
And Cameron Diaz told InStyle magazine for their special 25th anniversary issue she doesn't miss performing.
The 46-year-old actress explained: 'I started [experiencing fame] when I was 22, so 25 years ago - that's a long time. The way I look at it is that I've given more than half of my life to the public.'

The movie star talked to InStyle writer Laura Brown for the piece, released on Tuesday alongside similar interviews for Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, Meg Ryan, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson and several more.
Cameron is married to Good Charlotte's Benji Madden, 40; the lovebirds tied the knot on January 5, 2015 at her Beverly Hills home.
They wed after a three month engagement; the duo were introduced by Benji's sister-in-law Nicole Richie, who is married to his twin Joel Madden.
She told InStyle that 'getting married to him was the best thing that ever happened to me,' adding: 'My husband's the best. He's the greatest human being, and he's my great partner.'

While she says that marriage is hard, the star reveals that that it's important to marry someone who will put the work in and that it's 50-50.
Cameron said that she doesn't know if she was ready to get married, only that she knew he was special: 'He's just a good man. There's no bulls**t. It's really refreshing. I'm really grateful for him.'
For now, the star's focus is creating and seeing what project 'makes the most sense for me now.': I like doing my own thing. I like creating.'
Cameron hinted that there are some things in the works but that it's too early to talk about, complimenting Nicole for her House Of Harlow fashion company and pal Gwyneth Paltrow for Goop.

She said: 'I feel it's OK for me to take time for myself now to reorganize and choose how I want to come [back] into the world. If I decide to. I don't miss performing.'
Adding that right now she's 'looking at the landscape of wellness and all that,' noting that whatever she does she wants it to be 'something I'm passionate about' that 'feels effortless.'
The blonde star, who was born in San Diego, began her career as a model; she signed with Elite Model Management at 16 while she was attending high school.

Cameron says that she feels 'fulfilled with the adventures I've sought out in my life.'
She said: 'I'm in a great place, and the world is so different now too. The mid-1990s are an era that will never exist again. I'm just so grateful that I got to witness and partake in it.'

The Sweetest Thing actress said that while she thinks technology today like Instagram is 'incredible' because it allows a person to control your own narrative, it also makes you dependent and tied to your phone.
Since retiring from acting, Cameron said she thinks it's 'fun to just not have anybody know what I'm up to. Because my time is all mine.'

Explaining that she's not selling or promoting a film or project: 'I don't have to give anybody anything. I'm not doing this anymore. I'm living my life.'
She called the '40s the best decade' because 'you can be real with yourself' while still making any necessary changes since you've lived for four decades.
Cameron said: 'You get to let go of giving a s**t about anything. You're done! Don't care. I really don't. It's such a relief.'
She notes that you go through physical changes in your 40s and 'realize there's nothing you can do about them.'

For today, Cameron said: 'Focused, Content, Blessed.'
