Carrie Bickmore struggled to hold back on The Project while delivering a moving tribute to Olivia Newton-John following her tragic death at age 73.
The 41-year-old host became emotional after the panel show aired moving footage looking back at the Grease star's glittering career.
'It was so sad waking up to the news this morning,' Carrie began.

'[Olivia] was the sort of of person that gave so much of herself to everyone all the time,' Carried continued.
'She was so lovely and such a beacon of hope for so many people in our country and around the world.
'The world is a lot dimmer without her in it tonight,' she concluded.

Meanwhile, Waleed Aly went on to say Olivia was one of a kind as he recalled his experience meeting the Xanadu star.
'There's certain people that when they walk in a room the room feels lighter or warmer,' he began.
'I gather that's the magic that made her career what it was - but it doesn't work without the person or soul behind it.'

Olivia died peacefully at the age of 73 in her home in Southern California on Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends.
Her husband John Easterling announced the tragic news that his wife had lost her battle with cancer.
'Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends,' he said in a statement.
