Yummy Mummies star Lorinska Merrington shared a candid post about motherhood to Instagram on Monday, uploading a picture of herself pumping breast milk while dressed in a ball gown.
However, the photo, which was intended to inspire the Melbourne-based Netflix star's 676,000 followers, has been met with criticism.
'This is inappropriate for social media,' slammed one follower, with another accused Lorinska of 'faking' pumping and simply striking a pose while pretending to.

In the picture, the 34-year-old is seen taking a selfie in a bathroom mirror, with her Cappellazzo Couture dress unfastened as she pumps breast milk.
'OMG is this the level social media has got too? This is completely unnecessary,' wrote another frustrated follower.
'I'm all for breastfeeding in public but some things don't need to be plastered on social media. Take the photo, sure, but keep it private,' another added.
However, many praised Lorinska for the honest picture, and thanked her for helping remove the stigma surrounding breastfeeding.

Captioning the post, Lorinska, who gave birth to her second child, daughter Florence Jane in April, opened up about her recent struggles.
'It's been messier and harder than I imagined,' she began. 'I embarked on my journey in motherhood for the second time and entrepreneurship simultaneously.
'But I can say both experiences have been the most rewarding and fulfilling.'
The Melbourne-based reality star then shared five tips for other mothers on how to successfully balance a career and family life.
'Sometimes your won't have all the answers and better for you, as you'll stay humble and curious asking questions along the way,' she wrote in one.

She is married to Andrew Merrington, a former AFL star, and the pair share two children together, Lady Penelope and Florence Jane.
She gave birth to Florence in April, gushing online at the time: 'She made a speedy entrance and is tiny compared to Lady P.'
