A family affair: Veteran actor Bryan Brown reveals he was in the birthing suite when his daughter Matilda gave birth to her baby boy 'patting her head while she was yelling'... along with her mother and brother as well
Veteran actor, Bryan Brown, 72, was a strong source of support for his daughter Matlida, 32, when she gave birth in May.
Speaking on The Morning Show on Wednesday, the Palm Beach star recalled the dramatic scenes inside the birthing suite as former Offspring star, Matilda, welcomed her first child with former My Kitchen Rules contestant, Scott Gooding.
'I drove [my wife] Rachel over and then there's this big room and [Matilda's] in the bath... [she 's] yelling and shouting and wanting drugs and everything,' Bryan said.

'I was sitting behind Matlida and patting her on the head and everything... [it was] 8 or 10 hours... No one came in and said 'Bryan you're supposed to go'.
'I'd seen three births, Rachael had never seen a birth so for her it was fascinating.'
Bryan, his wife Rachel Ward and their son Joe were all present when Matlida gave birth.
The Gods of Egypt star and Rachel have been married for nearly 40 years and they have three children together - Matilda, Joe and eldest daughter Rosie.

The birth marked Bryan becoming a grandfather for the first time.
Matilda previously described the birth of her first child, Zan Neathway Gooding, as a 'family affair'.
'Dad walked in and pulled a chair over and didn't leave, [he] was there for the whole night. My brother was there, my mum was there - it was a bit o a family affair,' she said during a previous appearance on the Channel Seven morning show.

Matilda announced baby the birth of baby Zan on Instagram.
'Zan Neathway Gooding arrived earth side this morning at 9.57am. I'm in love,' she wrote.
'My vagina looks like a war zone. And labouring and birthing is the most intense thing I've ever experienced in my life.

Zan is Matilda's first child and Scott's second, as he has a son from a previous relationship.
The couple opened a restaurant, The Good Place, in Sydney's Miranda earlier this year.
