These 2020 Nissan Patrol / Armada Renderings Are 99 Percent Accurate

Last month we caught a glimpse of the facelifted 2020 Nissan Patrol / Armada during a photoshoot in the Middle East.

However, the quality of the video was rather poor so the folks from Kolesa thought to use the footage and another spy photo to render the full-size SUV in all its glory. On sale since 2010, the sixth-generation Nissan Patrol (Y62) is not going to receive an all-new generation despite its age.

The automaker gave it a restyling in 2014 and is now preparing another update for the 2020 model year. Styling-wise, the 2020 Patrol (sold as the Armada in the United States) will adopt updated front and rear ends — just like the 2018 Infiniti QX80 sister vehicle.

At the front, the refreshed Patrol will feature new headlights that remind of the Chevy Tahoe, a higher and wider trapezoidal grille with lots of chrome on it, as well as a redesigned bumper with a more angular appearance. At the rear, the 2020 Patrol will gain new LED taillights united by a chrome strip and a tailgate with a different frame for the license plate. The bumper will adopt a more angular look following the same theme as its front counterpart.

Nissan is likely to keep the engine lineup unchanged which means the 275 hp 4.0-liter V6 and the 400 hp 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engines should carry over, depending on the market. The 428 hp Nismo version is likely to remain available in the Middle East. Expect the 2020 Nissan Patrol / Armada to debut this fall.
