The biggest 'diva' on Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders? Insider reveals one contestant was 'liked by nobody behind the scenes'

Olympic gold medallist and Steven Bradbury, 45, suffered an undignified end to his time on Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders this week after being voted out by every single one of his teammates.

And according to new reports, Steven also ruffled more than a few feathers when the cameras weren't rolling.

'He was difficult to deal with behind the scenes, nobody really liked him at all,' a Woman's Day magazine insider has claimed.

According to the 'on-set spy', the former speed skater caused 'tension' on set by telling his co-stars who to vote for - a move that did little to prevent his own on-screen demise.

These types of tactic are not uncommon in the game of Survivor.

The source also claimed that Steven was concerned about being perceived as a 'villain' on the show.

To prevent this, he reportedly pleaded with his castmates to paint him in a positive light when the cameras were rolling.

The Olympian had previously complained about living in close quarters with his fellow campers.

Speaking to News Corp last month, Steven said 'Toughest [part of the show] for me were the constant conversations'

'I love a good chat with anybody, but you're always second-guessing what people are saying, and why they're saying it,' he went on.

In early episodes, the athlete was seen spending most evening holed up in a cave away from his teammates.

'I wasn't comfortable spooning with people that aren't my wife either, so the little cave I found was perfect,' he told News Corp.

Steven famously pulled off one of the most unlikely sporting victories of all-time at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

The Australian speed skater became a global sensation after winning gold, when all of his competitors crashed at the final corner.
