Smart ForTwo Wanted To Be Just A City Car; Mansory Had Other Plans

One of the world’s most extrovert tuners, Mansory, has struck again, this time taking not with a supercar or a luxo-barge, but rather the miniscule Smart ForTwo.

The tiny city car has been equipped with a wide body kit that consists of extended fenders, new skide skirts, front apron and rear diffuser with incorporated exhaust tips. A new grille with vertical slats, inspired by contemporary AMGs, front hood, roof-mounted wing and side mirror caps with a carbon look and several 17- and 18-inch wheel sets complete the look.

When describing the interior, Mansory claims that it’s “light, elegant and soft, ensuring the greatest sense of comfort”. All we can see is mustard like leather on most touchable surfaces, which, well, let’s just say might not be to everyone’s liking. Contrasting it are black piano accents, as well as some black stitching and piping, while the tuner’s logo can has been added to the steering wheel and seats.

Unlike some other tuned cars from Mansory this Smart ForTwo actually boasts more power. The 0.9-liter turbocharged three-cylinder has been enhanced to deliver 125 PS (123 hp / 92 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque, instead of the stock car’s 90 PS (89 hp / 66 kW) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).

There’s also a tuned ForTwo Cabriolet, too, that sports modified bumpers, a matte blue paint, new wheels and the same Panamericana-like grille on the outside, as well as white and blue leather in the cabin, with dark accents. It’s less ostentatious than the coupe and, in our opinion, all the better for it.
