Car enthusiasts are in for a treat following Netflix’s release of an action-packed trailer for its new show ‘Hyperdrive’.

The series will pit drivers against one another and the clock through a series of difficult obstacles courses. Featured in this trailer is a stage located at Eastman Business Park in Rochester, New York and rev heads from all walks of life. The series has been described as Fast & Furious meets American Ninja Warrior and that appears to be extremely accurate.

A number of different performance vehicles are showcased in the trailer. These include a Chevrolet Corvette, Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX-7, Nissan S13 Silvia, a Lamborghini Huracan, and a customized widebody Mercedes-AMG GT with a towering rear wing. No matter what type of cars you’re into, Hyperdrive looks set to get your adrenaline pumping.

Holywood star Charlize Theron is an executive producer for the show and is featured briefly in the trailer. Drivers competing appear to come from various occupations and are chasing their driving dreams. They include a truck driver, a delivery driver, law student, millionaire, model, a construction worker, and a lumberjack. In total, 28 drivers will be featured across the ten-episode series. They will start out in qualifying rounds before going head-to-head in the finals to compete for the championship.

“We wanted to create a groundbreaking spectacle that you could only find on Netflix — something that was too stupid to attempt anywhere else,” executive producer Chris Cowan said. “We wanted to provide this democratic global competition where car enthusiasts have a place to go to try and win a championship and really compete for something that matters.”
