Jessica Simpson gets mom-shamed for letting her oldest daughter Maxi Drew, age seven, dye her hair
She regularly keeps fans updated on her family via social media.
And Jessica Simpson got a little more than she bargained for after sharing a sweet photo of her oldest child, Maxi Drew, fresh from the salon with purple tresses.
The 39-year-old singer posted an image of her seven-year-old with professionally dyed lilac ends, much to the dismay of her Instagram community.

It was all smiles when Simpson took her little one to Nine Zero One hair salon in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The young girl was snapped sitting in a shampoo chair as three stylists tended to her tresses.
She had long strips of tinfoil throughout the bottom length of her hair as it was being dyed purple.

She posed for her famous mom, giving a slight smirk to the camera, and displaying her newly colored locks.
'Inspired by the Descendants,' Jessica captioned the post referencing the main character of the film Mal, played by Dove Cameron.
The negative comments poured in immediately commenting on what they thought was a bad decision to dye the young girls hair.

Though not everyone was upset over the choice and defended the singer.
