An early 1991 Acura NSX is currently up for sale in California on Bring A Trailer and, for Japanese sports car enthusiasts, could should be a dream ride.
According to the listing, this gloss black NSX was first imported into Canada and stored in the original owner’s collection in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan until 2018. The car was imported into the United States ony last year and appears to be in superb condition.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter transversely-mid-mounted V6 that delivers 270 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque. Power is funneled to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, and what will particularly interest potential buyers is the fact that the car has just 6,500 miles (10,460 km) on the clock. Interestingly, while the car is located in California, the listing states that, due to local emissions requirements, it must be sold to a dealer or an out-of-state resident.

The exterior appears to be immaculate and sports the original 15-inch wheels at the front and 16-inch ones at the rear shod with Toyo Proxes tires. Inside, there are black leather seats, cruise control, a factory cassette player (that was 1991, remember, the CD was only just coming out), climate control and (thankfully…) the original three-spoke steering wheel.
Included in the sale is an unused luggage set, a clean Carfax report, factory documentation, a NSX coffee table book and import documents from RM Sotheby’s. The car has never been in a reported accident and would be a stunning addition to any collection.
At the time of writing the highest bid was sitting at $31,000 with four days left in the auction. If it doesn’t skyrocket, then that’s one good deal for a car that’s already a classic and will not only offer a purely analogue driving experience, but with the proper care, will only appreciate in the future.
