Gerard Butler got a warm welcome when he arrived at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre in Hollywood for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
Just as he arrived at an entrance gate, the actor was greeted by a woman in a blue dress and the two then engaged in a long hug.
During the embrace Butler also gave her a kiss towards the top of her head.

The Scottish-born star, 49, kept things cool in blue denim jeans, a gray T-shirt and brown boots for his walk to the studio.
He also donned dark sunglasses on another hot and sunny Southern California day.
After their heartwarming hug, the blonde woman in the blue dress walked alongside the actor and one of his representatives as he waved to adoring fans along the route.
Eventually he reached a door to go inside the studio, smiled and gave fans one more wave, and then went inside.

Butler stopped by the late night show to promote his new action-drama Angel Has Fallen, co-starring Morgan Freeman.
It is the third installment in the Fallen film series, following Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and London Has Fallen (2016).
The latest story follows United States Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Butler), who's in a race against time to clear his name after being framed for an attack on the US President Allan Trumbull (Freeman).

Angel Has Fallen hits theaters in the US on August 23.
Butler is currently shooting the action-thriller Snow Ponies. It follows a crew of men who travel across difficult terrain to deliver a mysterious package, and the subsequent story of survival that follows.
