'I have been sent a step-by-step of how to kill myself': Former Bachelor star Alex Nation gets emotional while talking about being trolled online
Alex Nation has spoken out about the at times relentless bullying she receives from haters on social media.
Appearing on The Project on Friday, the 27-year-old former Bachelor star claimed there was no escaping online trolls, describing the abuse as 'exhausting'.
She said her first taste of it came after the 2016 Bachelor finale, when Richie Strahan, 34, chose her over fan favourite Nikki Gogan, 32.

'I woke up the next morning after the finale, getting ready to do all my fun radio rounds with Richie, and then it was just a barrage of hate and trolling and private messages,' she revealed.
Alex said she was initially shocked by the barrage of abuse being hurled at her, but she added it quickly began to 'spiral out of control'.
'I have been sent a step-by-step of how to kill myself, pictures of how to do it. I've been told that I'm better off dead and that my son is better off without me,' she recounted, becoming emotional.

Describing the hateful comments as 'really awful stuff', Alex said the effects of people's words can sometimes be deadly.
'You don't know what the person's head space is in that you're actually talking to, and the reality of it is, your words can be final,' she added.
Alex has previously spoken out against online trolls, and just last month once again found herself at the centre of bullying after being announced as a mentor on MTV's Teen Mom Australia.

'I will never understand why when a person succeeds, people try and tear them down. What a f***ing sad thing!' she responded on Instagram.
'To each of you above, I wish you all wonderful things.
'How much better would the world be if we lifted others instead of bringing them down. I am so damn excited for this venture.'

And before the 2017 Bachelor finale, Alex took to Instagram to urge people to 'be kind' following her own experience a year earlier.
'What I really wanted to stress to you all is to please be kind. From the bottom of my heart, please show kindness,' she wrote.
'What you're seeing and what you've invested yourself in are real human beings with real feelings.'
