And staying true to his word, Chris Hemsworth was seen getting stuck into his daddy duties, as he picked his children up from school on Friday.
Stepping out for the school run, the Thor actor, 35, looked like any other ordinary parent, as he carried his kids' backpacks while rounding them up into the car.

Ditching his red carpet attire for a much more relaxed look, Chris cut a casual figure and headed out in Byron in a plain green t-shirt, stone-coloured jeans and a baseball cap.
The movie star hid behind dark sunglasses and seemed perfectly at ease, as he stopped to chat with others outside the school, while picking up his brood.
Chris is dad to three children; daughter India, seven, and five-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha, who he shares with wife Elsa Pataky.

Proving he's just as cool a dad as he is a Marvel superhero, Chris came bearing treats as little India was seen tucking into an ice cream, while matching her famous dad in a black baseball cap.
Chris' appearance in Byron comes after he confirmed his brief hiatus from the acting world in an interview on the Men's Health Strength Sessions podcast.
'I'm just at home now, taking the next six months off and spending time with the kids and the wife,' he said.

Revealing his desire for a period of normality, Chris added: 'I'm just going to make school lunches and do school drop-offs and pick-ups.'
He explained that his decision to take a break away from Hollywood came after his success with the fourth and final Avengers movie, Avengers: End Game, in April.
The film has gone on to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, surpassing James Cameron's 2009 box office smash Avatar.
'After The Avengers press tour [in April] I had a real moment of like, "Oh, what now? I'm unemployed, what next?"' Chris explained.
'And then I thought, "No, this is the problem. If you keep looking ahead and not enjoying right now, then you're just going to miss it."'
