Dodge Pays Buyers Of 2019 Challenger, Charger And Durango $10 Per Horsepower

As a brand that offers the most powerful mass-produced cars in the United States, Dodge is encouraging customers to buy them with a new incentive program.

Suggestively called “Dodge Power Dollars,” the campaign kicking off on August 1 gives customers a cash allowance of $10 per horsepower toward the purchase of any 2019 Challenger, Charger or Durango.

Obviously, the most powerful models offer the biggest incentives. For example, the 797 HP Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye comes with a cash allowance of $7,970, while the regular 717 HP Hellcat saves the buyer $7,170. In the case of the Redeye, the cash allowance accounts for roughly 10 percent of the MSRP. As a result, they will have to pay $65,470 instead of $73,440.

Since bringing the Charger and Challenger back to the market, Dodge claims to have put 485 million horsepower into the hands of enthusiasts.

“Dodge has more horsepower than anyone else, and we want to share it and give those who have always wanted more the ability to get more. The goal is to grow to a half-billion horsepower before the end of the year. This is what we believe John and Horace Dodge would want us to do,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America.

All 2019 Challenger, Charger and Durango models are part of the promotion, from the SXT and GT that are powered by Pentastar V6s and are available with AWD to the Durango SRT, Charger SRT Hellcat and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

A 30-second spot for the “Dodge Power Dollars” campaign will start airing across TV, digital and Dodge social channels this week.
