Collector Pays $112,000 For One-Off MV Agusta Bike

MV Agusta put together this one of a kind F3 800 sports bike in order to raise funds to support vulnerable children across the globe. Subsequently, the bike was sold during a charity auction for no fewer than €100,000 ($112,000), all proceeds going to UNICEF.

The F3 800 features a 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine producing nearly 150 HP at 13,000 rpm, and in a straight line, it can climb to speeds of more than 240 km/h (149 mph). Normally, such a bike would cost €17,490 ($19,617).

Add the special UNICEF livery, and the collector who purchased it had to spend nearly 6 times its regular price, but of course, that’s pretty much how these things go.

“I am so happy that our special F3 800 for UNICEF Italia found such a generous buyer. All our motorcycles are hand-crafted, and it takes an incredible amount of pride, passion and experience to manufacture one,” said MV Agusta CEO, Timur Sardarov.

“This special one is unique, and to know it will serve a unique cause makes every woman and man involved in its production even prouder. I wish to thank UNICEF Italia for giving us this opportunity to support them in defending vulnerable children.”

This year marked the second time the ‘UNICEF Summer Gala” was held, with plenty of celebrity guests making appearances. Among them were Adrien Brody, Alicia Silverstone, Christopher Walken, Emily Ratajkowski, Zoe Saldana, Adriana Lima and many others.

As of right now, the F4 is MV Agusta’s only model that’s flat out quicker than the F3. You can purchase the former in base, RR, RC and LH44 (Lewis Hamilton edition) specs, the latter two boasting 212 HP while weighing roughly the same as the F3 800.
