Coleen Rooney has reportedly looked into 'gender selection' treatment in a desperate bid for a daughter.
The WAG, 33, who has four sons - Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three and Cass, 18 months - with her husband Wayne, allegedly flew to Mexico earlier this year to discuss the controversial £8,000 treatment with doctors.
A source has reportedly told The Sun: 'Coleen loves her boys more than anything, but she’s never been shy about admitting she would also love a daughter.'
'Completing the set': Coleen Rooney, 33, has reportedly looked into 'gender selection' treatment in a desperate bid for a daughter
Speaking of her reported desire to have a girl, it was added by the source: 'That would really complete the set for her and Wayne.
'But she has also said that if she does have another boy they would be happy,' it was continued about Coleen, who was said to have just wanted to discuss the treatment with doctors and know her options.
Gender selection, which as a treatment is currently unavailable in the UK, involves a number of her eggs being harvested and fertilised.
Then one or two of the resulting desired gender embryos will be re-implanted in the mother’s womb. The rest will be stored for possible use in the future.
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Coleen Rooney for further comment.

'Would love a daughter': According to The Sun, Coleen really things a daughter would 'complete the set but would still be happy if she has another boy'
In an interview while she was expecting her third child Kit, Coleen told HELLO! that she wanted a baby girl.
'I honestly don't mind. But a girl would be nice to complete the family, of course.'
The reported news of gender selection comes after it was claimed that her husband Wayne has reportedly gone 'teetotal' in a bid to 'save their marriage'.
The former England star, who is coming back to England from the US to play for Derby County, is said to want a 'fresh start' to mend his relationship with Coleen and will 'receive counselling to help him stay teetotal'.
Wayne has been involved in a string of controversies involving alcohol, including an arrest for public intoxication at an airport in Washington DC last year.

A source told The Sun: 'Wayne was drinking a fair amount in the States and it was causing huge problems with Coleen. 'It was like he was on self-destruct — he was boozing at home late into the night.
'Now he's moving back in October, he wants to sort it out for good. He wants a completely fresh start and knows losing his unhealthy relationship with the bottle would be the best thing for them all.'
Rooney signed for DC United last year, and has gone on to become the side's top scorer.
However, his success on the pitch has often been shadowed by other controversies, including his arrest back in December.
It was the latest in a long list of drinking incidents for the former Manchester United and Everton striker.

These included a court appearance for drink driving in 2017, when he drove party girl Laura Simpson, 30, in her VW Beetle in Cheshire while three times over the limit.
He was handed a two-year driving ban and 100 hours of unpaid community work, apologising for an 'unforgivable lack of judgement'.
Coleen, then pregnant, and their other three sons, Kai, nine, Klay, six, and Kit, three, were on holiday in Spain at the time.
In December he was taken into custody at Washington's Dulles airport, saying he was left 'disorientated' by prescribed sleeping tablets he took on a flight while drinking.
He received a statutory automatic fine and was released shortly afterwards at the airport, a spokesman for Rooney said.
In 2016 he was at the centre of another drinking row at a wedding reception between England games, later apologising 'unreservedly' for his behaviour.

It was reported in April 2017 that he had been seen drinking at least five pints of Stella at a Cheshire pub on a night out.
Rooney was recently accused of 'selling his soul' after agreeing an 18-month contract worth £7.8million with a betting giant to return from America to play in England with Derby County Football Club.
Coleen has reportedly shared concern that husband Wayne could fall back into old habits thanks to his deal with betting giant 32Red.
A source told The Sun that the WAG is worried he will be tempted back to gambling thanks to his big-money deal with the brand, who will pay part of his £100,000 a week wages when he moves to Derby County as a player-coach in January.
It comes after Wayne reportedly blew a staggering £500,000 in just two hours during a massive gambling spree in 2017.
A source said: 'While Coleen was on cloud nine about the move back to the UK, this has cast a shadow.
'She and Wayne's family are concerned about what the deal with this company entails and whether he will be tempted back into the gambling lifestyle, which he used to love in England before.'
