'It's nice to see one of them with a job!' Chrissie Swan defends Bachelor Matt Agnew for working at NAB despite being billed as an 'astrophysicist' - as she slams reality TV stars who become Instagram influencers
Australia is still reeling from news that The Bachelor's Matt Agnew works as an analyst at NAB rather than as an astrophysicist.
And on The Project on Tuesday, Chrissie Swan praised the former academic, 32, for earning an honest living while criticising other reality TV stars for being 'influencers'.
The discussion began with host Carrie Bickmore joking that Matt had swapped university life for a nine-to-five bank job in order to 'NAB a girl!'

'I think it's nice to see that one of them's got a job. Do you know what I mean?' Chrissie replied.
'Instead of just working for veneer companies and [getting] free stuff on Instagram. So it's nice, he's a man and he's got a job!'
Peter Helliar then lightened the mood with a joke about last year's Bachelor Nick Cummins, saying: '[The] Honey Badger wasn't actually a honey badger either. He was just a guy.'

Chrissie's comments come after Bachelor contestant Helena Sauzier was caught hunting for freebies via Instagram last month, before the show had even premiered.
As reported by Perth Now, the former Miss World contestant had approached beauty providers for skincare products and services, as well as Perth surgeon Dr Anh in the hopes of organising free treatments in exchange for promotion.
A spokesperson for Dr Anh’s clinic told Daily Mail Australia: 'We can confirm that a Bachelor contestant has approached us in relation to treatment.'

The Sydney Morning Herald revealed earlier this week that Matt Agnew is officially employed by data analytics company Quantium, but has been working at NAB for three months on secondment.
He reportedly works at NAB's Melbourne head office.
A NAB spokesperson refused to confirm Matt's employment to Daily Mail Australia due to privacy reasons, but did acknowledge that 'Quantium from time to time provides contractors to NAB.'
Matt does not have the NAB position listed on his personal LinkedIn.

For months, Channel 10 has billed Matt as a professional astrophysicist.
During the premiere episode of The Bachelor, Matt was forced to explain what an astrophysicist does after some of the contestants struggled to pronounce the word.
