The Today Show has struggled in the ratings since launching it's all-female lineup in January.
So it's no wonder Nine bosses were keen to celebrate after Today won the weekly ratings war in Sydney for the first time in over five months last week.
Nine's Director of News and Current Affairs, Darren Wick, eagerly Tweeted about the victory on Saturday, writing: 'Congratulations @TheTodayShow @GeorgieG @deborah_knight @tomsteinfort & the entire team - great weekly ratings win in Sydney.'

Meanwhile, Seven's Sunrise is enjoy its biggest lead over Today in 13 years, having won 21 weeks in the rating year so far.
Sunrise's Executive Producer Michael Pell was quick to remind viewers of the show's overall supremacy on Saturday when he Tweeted a breakdown of the weekly ratings wins scorecard for 2019.
'Well done to the entire team and thank you to our loyal viewers for starting their day with us, he wrote in a following Tweet.
'We never take it for granted and we are very grateful for the support. '
Upon its debut in January, the revamped Today show was smashed in the ratings by Channel Seven's Sunrise, drawing in a paltry 197,000 metro viewers.

In early March, the show was attracting just 167,000 viewers across the five capital cities, which marked the lowest figures since 2006.
In a recent statement to TV Tonight, Nine's Head of Content Production and Development, Adrian Swift, said viewers should give the Today show a chance.
'The reality is when you change your lineup it takes a long time to bed in,' he said. 'We're not concerned. We are absolutely convinced we will get there.'
