She raked in a whopping $2.5 million last year thanks to her Piece of Me Tour, which ran from July through October in North America and Europe.

And Britney Spears took advantage of her impressive earnings as she reportedly spent $400,000 on personal expenses in 2018, according to documents obtained by The Blast.

The award-winning musician, 37 - who is worth $59 million - is said to have splurged on lavish hotel stays, generic household supplies and visited her local Target supermarket over 80 times last year.

Toxic songstress Britney ensured she was in the lap of luxury during her time away from home last year as she spent $70,000 on travel, which included a $16,0000 four-night stay at the Beverly Hills Montage.

The singer also splashed out $66,000 to stock up on household supplies for her sons Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12.

Britney - whose finances have come under review as the investigation into her conservatorship continues - paid out $1 million in fees to her 'conservators and case management advisors', with her father Jamie Spears, being paid $128,000 of that sum.

MailOnline has contacted Britney's representatives for further comment.

The former X Factor US judge is currently locked in a legal battle with her father Jamie, 67, as she has requested to be freed of her conservatorship - which has seen him control her finances, professional and private life since 2008.

She turned to the courts in May in order to end the legal deal after she claimed her parent committed her to a mental health facility against her will and forced her to take prescription drugs.

The judge presiding over the case has since ordered a thorough investigation of all the people who take part in Britney's conservatorship in order to properly assess whether the restraints on the singer should be loosened or modified.

Britney's probate court investigator will conduct extensive interviews with all the people involved in a conservatorship case, including guardians, conservators, doctors and even law enforcement officials who have had contact with the subject.

The Baby One More Time hitmaker has been regarded as an icon in the industry for over 20 years.

Following her career as a child star on The Mickey Mouse Club, Britney transformed into the much-praised Princess of Pop, after her first two studio albums, Baby One More Time (1999) and Oops!... I Did It Again (2000), dominated the music charts.

In February 2007, the award-winning singer checked into various drug rehabilitation facilities after she brazenly shaved her head with electric clippers amid her mental health battle.

While work for the star continued throughout that year, Britney's much-publicized personal issues overshadowed her professional life.

Britney - who is currently dating personal trainer Sam Asghari, 25 - went on to release a series of chart-topping albums, including Femme Fatale  and Britney Jean, and even served as a judge on the US edition of The X Factor in 2012.

The following year, the Circus singer kicked off her Las Vegas concert residency Britney: Piece of Me, which saw her captivate audiences at the AXIS auditorium until December 2017.

Earlier this year, she broke her silence and insisted 'all is well' amid her mental health woes.

The entertainer took to Instagram with a brief video clip in which she gave fans an update on her personal life, after postponing her Britney: Domination Las Vegas residency.

She revealed in the clip: 'My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal. But don't worry I'll be back very soon.'
