'That's ridiculous!' Australian Survivor's Matt Farrelly is BLINDSIDED as champions vote for contender Shaun Hampson to join their tribe
A spanner was thrown into the works on Sunday's episode of Australian Survivor.
Host Jonathan LaPaglia announced at Tribal Council that the winning champions team would vote for a contender to join their tribe.
Contender Matt Farrelly, 29, described the new voting rule as 'ridiculous' before AFL star Shaun Hampson was revealed as the one joining the champions.

'That's f***ed up, that's ridiculous,' Matt announced to the group, while fellow contenders Janine Allis and Pia Miranda, 46, looked defeated.
With Shaun, 31, considered one of the strongest members in the contenders side, it came as no surprise that he would receive the most number of votes.
As he threw his bandana into the fire and made his way to join the other tribe, Janine made a less than impressed facial expression.
The Boost Juice founder tried to sound positive, telling her fellow contenders 'we're still strong'.

Viewers took to Twitter to commend producers for shaking up the current format.
'I don't mind these tribal twists. At least they're voting on something. Better than those ones where they rock up to tribal and NOTHING HAPPENS but talk, talk, talk. Okay go back to camp,' one wrote.
Another followed with: 'That was as good as a non-elimination episode of Australian Survivor could be. We didn't lose anything in not having a vote and improved storylines in both tribes.'
Before the shock twist, it appeared either Harry Hills, 30, or Casey Hawkins, 31, would be eliminated.

Abbey Holmes, 28, said she 'couldn't trust Casey' while Janine described her as 'divisive'.
Casey was unsure who she could trust, saying in a piece to camera that she had 'no idea' where she stands with the tribe.
'They're not being straightforward (with me),' she added.
Meanwhile Harry was keen to stir up trouble with the group, announcing at tribal council that he's here 'to blow things up'.
The tribe were shocked by 'nice' Harry's bold admission, with one going as far as nicknaming him 'Dirty Harry'.
