The star's cheery demeanor was a welcome respite from her ongoing defamation lawsuit with her ex Johnny Depp.
After she published an op-ed in The Washington Post in December 2018 that obliquely accused the Edward Scissorhands star of domestic abuse (though without naming him or any specific incidents), he sued her for $50 million.
He claimed in the suit that the unstated allegations were made up.
In July, The Blast published photos of Johnny following the couple's infamous March 2015 fight in which he appeared to have a mark on his cheek, which he claims was from Amber putting out a cigarette on him.
The fight resulted in Depp severing part of one of his fingers, which he claims happened after she threw a bottle at him.
The couple met while filming The Rum Diary in 2011, and struck up a relationship the following year.
The two were married in February 2015, but she filed for divorce in May of the following year.
Even amid her legal woes, Amber is set to star in the high profile CBS All-Access adaptation of Stephen King's magnum opus The Stand.
The door stop novel, first published in 1978, was previously adapted as a miniseries in 1994 starring Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald and Rob Lowe.
Few cast members have been announced for this new adaptation, but so far Amber will be joined by Westworld's James Marsden, as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Greg Kinear and Marilyn Manson.
