The iconic TV show first aired in 2002, and ran until 2007.

It starred comediennes Jane Turner as Kath and Gina Riley as Kim, a mother and daughter living in Melbourne suburbia.

It also starred Magda Szubanski as Sharon Strzelecki, Kim's 'second best friend', and Glenn Robbins as Kel and Peter Rowsthorn as Brett, their spouses.

'I think Jane could play Kath forever, but 95 per cent I think it’s over for me,' she added.

'Doing "25 and five-quarters" – Kim’s age – has taken its toll and I’m too old for it now.'
