'The weekly routine is changing!' Rachael Finch reveals why daughter Violet no longer stays at her grandmother's house every weekend... after the model was slammed over THAT parenting interview

Rachael Finch was forced to defend her parenting methods in 2016 after revealing that her two-year-old daughter Violet stayed her grandmother's house on weekends.

And now, three years later, the model, 31, has announced that household routine has evolved significantly.

Speaking to Now To Love on Tuesday, Rachael announced: 'Violet is in school now so the weekly routine is changing.'

'Sometimes grandma will still come over on a Saturday and stay with the kids and we will come home in the afternoon, or she will take Violet on a Saturday night,' she explained.

Rachael, who shares daughter Violet, six, and two-year-old son Dominic with husband Michael Miziner, added that her parenting schedule often changes due to work and travel commitments.

During Rachael's now-infamous 2016 interview with The Sunday Telegraph, the Myer ambassador said sending her daughter away on the weekend was 'healthy' for her marriage.

'Every weekend [Violet] goes to Mish's mum's house, and we get our weekend to ourselves. I think that's incredibly healthy for the relationship,' she said at the time.

'And on Sunday, when we pick her up, we have 100 per cent energy back,' she explained.

Fans were swift and savage with their assessment of the glamazon's methods, with some even labelling her as a 'weekend parent'.

Speaking to Stellar magazine in 2017, Rachael insisted her critics 'don't understand the intricacies' of her relationship with Michael and denied any suggestion she did not spend enough time with her kids.
