Jennifer Aniston reunited with her former husband Justin Theroux as they mourned the tragic death of their beloved dog Dolly in a spiritual ceremony on Sunday evening.
According to The Sun, the Friends actress, 50 - who was married to the screen star, 47, from August 2015 till their separation in late 2017 - brushed aside their split as they held hands while spending their final moments with their rescue pet.
In a series of images posted to Justin's Instagram account, the couple joined fellow family members as they wrapped the white German Shepherd in a cosy blanket for the heartwarming send off.

The Leftovers actor wrote in a caption: 'Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle... our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family.
'“The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful... is the dog— faithful and true, even in death” -George Vest. Rest In Peace Dolly', he ended the emotional post.
Dolly, who was adopted by Jennifer in 2006, was laid to rest covered in a selection of colourful flowers and attendees burnt sage as a powerful ritual.

In March 2018, Jennifer and Justin reached an agreement to share custody of their four dogs.
According to In Touch, the famous pair refer to the pets as their 'children' and have put visitation arrangements in place.
The Just Go with It actress is believed to have lived with Dolly, terrier Clyde and a pit bull mix Sophie in LA, while The Iron Man 2 star resides in New York with the couple's other pit bull.
Bruce Almighty's Jennifer revealed the couple named Dolly after the country singer Dolly Parton during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last year.
The blonde has been vocal about her love for her pets in the past, as she said during a press conference back in 2009: 'Men come and go, but there really is no relationship like the one you have with a dog.
'It is a pity that they - the dogs that is - don't live as long as they should. You have to say goodbye way too soon. It makes me so sad. But the love of a dog is unconditional and I really love that. They are real friends.
'I have some great human friends, of course, but my dog friends are very special. OK, so they don't text me or buy me flowers but they do so much more.
'They pick me up if I need it, they always greet me when I come home and they never complain about anything.It's great to relax with the dogs around and us all watching something on TV', she added.
