Tammy Hembrow recently hit back at trolls criticising her new romance with Jahkoy Palmer, after his endless tributes to her on Instagram and PDAs baffled fans.
And despite Tammy saying that men should 'take tips' from the Canadian rapper, it seems Jahkoy may have a secret agenda by publicising their relationship.
Holly Bartter, the founder of online dating service Matchsmith, told Daily Mail Australia that he possibly views his girlfriend as a status symbol.
Inside Tammy Hembrow's 'power imbalance' romance with Canadian rapper Jahkoy Palmer, as a leading relationship expert reveals the real meaning behind their constant PDAs
'While passionate and clearly very love-struck by Tammy, the over-the-top PDA could definitely be a way of Jahkoy making it known on social media and [in the] press that he is connected to Tammy,' she explained.
On average, Tammy's Instagram photos receive thousands of comments (mostly from men praising her beauty), but Jahkoy's comments are the most predominant.
With the Instagram superstar boasting 9.7 million followers and Jahkoy having just 43,000, Holly also believes there is a significant 'power imbalance'.

For a brief period of time, Jahkoy also changed his Instagram profile picture to an image of Tammy's face.
Holly said of this unusual behaviour: 'In the public eye, genuine relationships are trickier to form and maintain, especially when there's a real power imbalance.
'And while their relationship may be 100 per cent in balance behind closed doors, these public displays and staged photos suggest they are looking to prove a point.'

On Thursday, as the long-distance lovers united in Los Angeles, they put on a very raunchy display for photographers by kissing in the street.
In response to their PDA, one person asked Jahkoy on Instagram: 'Is this the first time you've had a girlfriend? Just curious.
'Because it's okay if it is. [I've] just never seen a dude this girly towards a girl. Kind of looks like Tammy is wearing the pants and your wearing the skirt in your relationship.'
Tammy swiftly responded: 'Have you ever had a girlfriend? Maybe you should take some tips [from Jahkoy].'

Loved-up: However, the relationship expert believes that 'Tammy is clearly into Jahkoy and enjoying their time together'
Explaining the likely meaning behind this, expert Holly said: 'Tammy is clearly into Jahkoy and enjoying their time together.
'But perhaps she's also getting overly defensive at online criticisms because part of her is aware that it's a little too much and not as sincere.'
Jahkoy and Tammy went public with their relationship in June, during a trip they took together to Toronto, and have since partied in LA and headed to Australia.
