Whether it is rain, hail or shine, you will always find Hugh Jackman in the water when he's home in Bondi Beach.

And it was no different on Thursday, when the Wolverine star took the plunge and enjoyed a dip in the freezing cold sea.

The hunky 50-year-old actor showed off his fit frame as he ran across the sand, Baywatch-style.

Wearing a pair of whale printed boardshorts, Hugh's toned torso and rippling biceps were on display. 

Unaffected by the no doubt chilly temperatures, the Les Miserables favourite dried off under the stunning winter sun. 

The Hollywood star braved the water alone, with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children, Oscar, 19, and Ava, 14, nowhere in sight.

The family are staying at their beachside home as they reside temporarily in Australia during Hugh's Australian leg of his The Man. The Music. The show. 

The Broadway star will perform in Sydney on August 2, making his way to Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.

He will then take to the stage in Auckland, New Zealand on September 6, before making his way back to the United States.

Hugh's sold-out Los Angeles concerts this month were received with high praise.

According to Variety, Hugh 'shined' during his two-hour performance.

He sang tunes from his blockbuster movies Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman, as well as his Tony Award-winning Broadway show The Boy From Oz
