When the Bugatti Veyron exceeded 250 mph (402 km/h) in 2005, the automotive world was stunned. Nowadays, 250 mph is no longer the insane mark it once was and has actually become somewhat of a benchmark in the world of highly-strung tuned exotics.
The Lamborghini Huracan has established itself as a favorite among tuning companies looking to create straight-line monsters.
No tuner is, perhaps, more experienced working on the Italian high-revving V10 than Underground Racing, and this Huracan Performante is one of its most recent builds. It is also capable of speeds that truly boggle the mind.

The first thing to know about this Huracan Performante is that it features a pair of turbochargers and delivers approximately 3,000 HP. Yes, that’s right: three thousand! During shakedown tests for a recent half-mile event in Colorado, the car reached 234 mph (376 km/h) without running in ultimate attack mode.
With the car’s boost turned up for its Colorado outgoing, it was able to breeze past the 250 mph mark on not one or two, but three separate occasions. That would be impressive if the car’s top speed just exceeded 250 mph, but what makes the car’s performance all the more remarkable is that it reaches such speeds in just half a mile from a standing start. It’s, therefore, same to assume that if it had more space, it would clock an even higher v-max.
The fastest street-legal car in the half-mile that we’re aware of is a yellow Huracan which hit 259 mph (416 km/h) 12 months ago, at 265 mph (426 km/h).
